The DCAT organization is proud to be a Special Award Organization (SAO) sponsor for the Intel International Science and Education Fair (Intel ISEF), the world’s largest international pre-college science competition.
Chosen by volunteers from DCAT’s Science & Scholarship Committee, this initiative allows our organization to invest in the future of science by supporting young scholars who represent the geographic regions and areas of study that reflect in the global membership of DCAT. As an SAO sponsor, DCAT rewards three participants with monetary awards to continue their academic studies, along with a donation to each recipient’s school.
Founded in 1950, Intel ISEF unites the world’s top young scientific minds and encourages them to tackle challenging scientific questions and develop the skills needed to solve the problems of tomorrow. Each year, approximately 1,800 high school students from more than 75 countries, regions, and territories are awarded the opportunity to showcase their independent research and compete for an average of $4 million in total prizes.
Alumni of the fair include seven Nobel recipients, along with thousands of scholars who have went on to make extraordinary advancements in science, technology and pharmaceuticals.
