DCAT Week '11: What a Week it Was!
Robbinsville, NJ, March 31, 2011 – DCAT Week ’11 lived up to its reputation as The Leading Meeting for the Pharmaceutical Industry, featuring business development meetings, industry education programs, networking events and the 85th DCAT Annual Dinner with keynote speaker Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. DCAT Week offers unrivaled opportunities for member companies to hold high-level strategy meetings with their customers and suppliers in one convenient location. Organized by The Drug, Chemical and Associated Technology Association (DCAT), DCAT Week took place from March 14-17 at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City. The education sessions presented during the week by industry experts were well attended. Designed to help attendees navigate the challenges ahead, the presentations covered supplier consolidation, supply chain transparency, QbD, SRM, biologic drug delivery systems, as well as the impact of globalization, healthcare reform and technology on the industry.
DCAT Week offers countless opportunities for face-to-face interaction with manufacturers, suppliers and customers. This year DCAT members had access to two member lounges where they could catch up on email between meetings, network with colleagues and enjoy refreshments. In addition to networking receptions associated with some of the education programs, a special reception was held for DCAT member company representatives where they could meet other members and get to know the DCAT leadership.
The 85th DCAT Annual Dinner provided an elegant and entertaining ending to the week, with keynote speaker Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger receiving a standing ovation. His message about the value of hard work, determination and giving back was truly inspirational.
