DCAT's Nutrition & Health Forum '10 To Be Held At Desert Springs JW Marriott Resort & Spa
Robbinsville, NJ, September 9, 2009 – The Drug, Chemical and Associated Technology Association (DCAT), is pleased to announce that the Nutrition & Health Forum 2010 will be held at the Desert Springs JW Marriott Resort & Spa in Palm Desert, California. Normally held the first week in May, the event has been moved to May 11-13, 2010.
Surrounded by majestic mountains, this Four Star, Four Diamond award-winning resort is the perfect backdrop to DCAT’s annual Nutrition & Health Forum, which features networking opportunities and educational programs for dietary supplement professionals.
“The Nutrition & Health Forum has become a must-attend event for the dietary supplement industry,” said Event Chair Andy Weisel of Herbalife. “Whether you’re involved with sourcing/procurement, sales and marketing, operations, R&D, quality, or managing the business, you’ll come away with information that you can use immediately in your business.”
“We are pleased to be hosting the Forum at this beautiful resort and at such a great value to our members,” said Executive Director Margaret Timony. Forum participants will enjoy a $139/night room rate with all resort fees waived (a $50/night savings) that includes free access to self parking, high-speed internet, local calls, evening refresh, the Spa Fitness Center, the putting course, lawn games and golf bag storage.
A sprawling oasis, Desert Springs features lushly landscaped grounds and lagoons. Gondolas ply the Venetian-like waterways transporting guests to the resort’s many restaurants and nightclubs. From sushi and Starbucks coffee to classic American fare and Northern Italian cuisine, the resort’s ten eateries have it covered.
In addition to stylish surroundings and luxurious amenities, Desert Springs features state-of-the-art meeting rooms, where DCAT will hold its educational programs. “Each year we focus on improving and expanding the Forum’s education sessions in order to bring our members valuable industry insights,” says Timony. “Next year’s event will feature industry experts discussing the effects of the economic, political and regulatory environments on nutritional supplement manufacturers and suppliers."
