2011 Golf Outing Sponsors


With the perfect weather and exquisite conditions at TPC Jasna Polana, the only thing that attendees at the DCAT Annual Golf Outing on June 20th could wish for was a better golf score. This was the first year that DCAT held its golf outing at this premier private club and the response was so positive that plans are already underway to return next year.

“What a great day—you couldn’t have asked for more,” said DCAT President Bob Kanuga of Merck & Co., Inc. “Playing a course of this caliber was a real treat and I’m already looking forward to next year. I can’t think of a better way to network with colleagues and support DCAT’s science education initiatives with the NSTA and National Lab Network. Many thanks to everyone involved in planning and supporting this important event.”

Golfing Awards
Following the evening reception and dinner, held in the neoclassical clubhouse that was the former home of J. Seward Johnson, Sr., awards were presented to golfers in the following categories.

The Best Overall Foursome Award went to Ted Dolan. Mike McCormick and Chad Telgenhof of Johnson Matthey Pharma Services, and Syed Husain of Lonza Inc. Second place went to Pat Vasquez and Rich Zawadzki of Xellia Pharmaceuticals ApS, Jack Bradley of Viropharma, and Kyu Hwang of Phoenix Global Supply Company.

The Closest to the Pin Award went to Tim Miller of West Pharmaceutical Services, Inc., while Joe Corella of DavosPharma and Julie Giorgi of Johnson & Johnson received the Longest Drive Awards.

The Pro-V Award went to the lucky golfer in each foursome that landed their third shot closest to the pin on the 3rd hole. And for those who came up short on the 16th hole, landing their first shot farthest from the pin, there was the Wine Hole Award.
