DCAT Week—Bigger and Better
By: Margaret M. Timony

Interest in DCAT Week is at an all time high. From Annual Dinner tables to business meeting suites and sleeping rooms to Pocket Guide ads, demand is quickly outstripping supply. So if you haven’t made your arrangements yet, I strongly suggest you do so right away.
This is the first year that we’ve sold out all three ballrooms for the Annual Dinner before announcing the speaker. Who, if you haven’t heard by now, is
George W. Bush, 43rd President of the United States and Founder of the George W. Bush Foundation. We are delighted to be hosting our third former U.S. President at the Annual Dinner. We look forward to his remarks on leadership, decision making and conviction. He will also partake in a moderated conversation where we’d like to hear what it’s like to be CEO of the world’s largest government...and more!
If you are interested in attending the Annual Dinner, contact the DCAT office at 1-800-640-3228 or
jillian@dcat.org to ask us about additional tables in an adjacent ballroom.
I am so pleased that DCAT Week 2012 will be the launch for the
Women’s Networking Breakfast. This year, our guest speaker is
Lisa Martin, C.P.M., senior vice president, global procurement and operations, Pfizer, Inc. This new event was actually suggested by members and I hope you’ll take advantage of this unique opportunity to hear from one of the leading women in the pharmaceutical industry today. We are always looking for new and better ways to help our members develop their business, so if you have an idea for an education program or networking event during DCAT Week, we’d like to hear from you.
And finally, keep an eye on your mailbox. The Membership Directory will be mailed out in the coming week.
