Nominating Committee Finalizes Board Slate
By: Margaret M. Timony
DCAT Executive Director
Since May, DCAT’s Nominating Committee has been meeting and preparing a slate of well-qualified candidates to lead the organization in the upcoming years. During the course of the committee’s process this year, the organization’s leadership announced its decision to no longer support programs and events for the Nutrition and Health segment. Therefore, the Nominating Committee did not seek a candidate to represent that segment on the Executive Committee. After some analysis, the leadership and the Nominating Committee decided that a representative of members involved in contract formulation, fill, finish and contract packaging should replace the Nutrition and Health Segment on the Executive Committee.
As always, this year we had a tremendous response to our
Call For Nominations for the Board of Directors. DCAT has no shortage of industry leaders and willing volunteers who would like to serve on the board. However, there are a limited amount of positions to fill each year, so unfortunately not everyone can be slated by the Nominating Committee for election. I want to thank each and every person who sent in applications for themselves or for colleagues. Your interest and support is greatly appreciated.
The Nominating Committee’s proposed slate is scheduled to be sent to each members company’s Designated Contact in September. Per our organizational bylaws, we give our member companies the right to say whether or not they support the committee’s decision.
You can get involved too! Join a committee, participate in programs or just contact us to make suggestions. Your ideas keep the organization viable and successful.
