The Société de Chimie Industrielle has extended an invitation to DCAT members to attend their November luncheon. The event will feature executive insights from guest speakers William S. Marth, President and CEO of AMRI, and Syed Husain, Chief Commercial Officer of Alcami. The program will discuss current issues and trends related to API development.
The API industry has gone through many phases over the years, but has always played a vital role in the development and production of pharmaceuticals. The growth of the pharmaceutical industry has helped to drive the growth of the API industry for many years. However, there also have been challenging periods of overcapacity, stresses related to competition from customers, the complexities related to the clinical trial requirements for drugs under development, and changes in drug technology and manufacturing methods. Our two panelists both have extensive industry experience and have worked for more than one company in the industry. They will share their insights about how the API industry has developed and what they see as the future trends, both good and bad, that the industry will be facing.
