In this session, you will hear how representatives of several major pharmaceutical companies are working with Business for Social Responsibility, a non-profit business membership and advisory organization, to develop the Pharmaceutical Industry Principles for Responsible Supply Chain Management.  These Principles set forth expectations for labor and employment practices, health and safety, business ethics, and protection of the environment. Companies that endorse the Principles hope that their efforts will result in improvements in social and environmental practices and, as a result, improve conditions for workers in the pharmaceutical supply chain.

Business for Social Responsibility and representatives from the pharmaceutical industry, will describe the process they undertook in the development of the Principles.  They will also discuss other activities they have engaged in within the industry in an effort to implement the Principles industry-wide.

Who should attend:  Procurement and supply management sales, marketing, scientific or regulatory professionals who want to keep up with industry changes and trends.
